Scotch Whisky - Blended Malt

Despite its reputation as a somewhat traditional spirit, Scotch whisky offers incredible diversity of flavour, with single malts and blends ranging from elegant, floral expressions to rich, fruity and chocolatey drams.

This bold blended malt from the Compass Box family is a vatting of mostly Highland Scotch whiskies matured in bespoke casks made from American and French oak. The result is a richly spiced and complex whisky that’s perfect for sipping neat or used as a base for cocktails.

Serving Suggestions: Delicious served neat, but why not try it in an Unholy Alliance – a Boulevardier with a Scotch twist. Stir 40ml of The Spice Tree, 25ml sweet vermouth and 25ml of Campari over ice, before straining into a cocktail glass and garnishing with orange zest.

Tasting Notes

Big and bold on the nose with tempting marzipan-iced fruitcake laced with plump raisins and dried citrus peel. The Spice Tree’s name is felt on the palate though, where zingy baking spices – cloves, nutmeg, stem ginger, cinnamon – mingle with toasted hazelnuts and almonds, dried fruits and bitter dark chocolate.
