Tetsubin Cast Iron Teapot 50cl
Based on traditional Japanese Tetsubin, our Cast Iron Teapot 50cl adds elegance to tea service. Made from cast iron, these tea pots have an enamel coating inside for brewing. Combined with the removable stainless steel strainer, you can make loose leaf tea.
In Japan, loose leaf sencha is a tea traditionally shared with friends and family. It was this popular tea that promoted the tetsubin. Serving tea in a cast iron teapot emulates Japanese tradition.
Combined with our Cast Iron Tea Cups, this teapot can yield up to 5 cups of tea. Used with a standard china teacup you will be able to serve around 2 cups of tea.
[su_note note_color=”#ffffff”]Our teapots are not kettles for heating water directly. The enamel coating makes the interior easy to brew tea, however this will crack if subjected to direct heat.[/su_note]
