Margarita Recipe

Classic Margarita Recipe - Learn How to Make a Lime Margarita

A cocktail of the 20th century, the IBA lists this popular drink as a Contemporary Classic. The classic margarita recipe uses tequila as the main spirit, with Cointreau (orange liqueur) and lime juice topping it up. The addition of a salted rim to your glass gives the margarita a unique combination of flavours to test your palate.

The margarita cocktail has proven very popular since its creation, especially in the USA. Mexican drinking culture poured in to the southern states of America, bringing tequila with it.

Frozen Margarita

Different margarita recipes variate in their use of ice, with a choice of straight up, on the rocks, or blended with ice. The blended “frozen margarita” has become more common, giving a slushie-like finish. This has gone even further with a wide variety of blended fruit margarita variations.

Frozen margaritas have helped to introduce exclusive margarita making machines for domestic use.
